Day 1: Arrive Launceston, Tamar Valley Wine Route, St Helens
Be met on arrival in Launceston. Take the Tamar Valley wine
route and pay a visit to two of the leading producers of cool
climate wines, Pipers Brook and Jansz Wineries. Later, stop en
route to St Helens and take a short walk at Myrtle Rainforest
before arriving at your hotel and enjoying a Welcome Dinner.

Day 2: Bay of Fires—Freycinet Walks
Visit Binalong Bay Lookout with great views of the famous Bay
of Fires. Choose from a number of walks in Freycinet National
Park, such as a guided walk to Wineglass Bay Lookout, or walk to
the beach, voted one of the world’s top 10 beaches. Or upgrade
to an Adventure Option: Enjoy a twilight sea kayak paddle around
the secluded coves of Freycinet or a 4WD adventure to Bluestone

Day 3: Richmond—Hobart and Freedom of Choice Touring, Dine
Around Dinner
Discover Australia’s history in the heritage towns of
Richmond and Ross, where many convict-built buildings and
bridges still stand. Enjoy our Freedom of Choice Touring in
Hobart. See historical Hobart on a guided walk that includes
Franklin Square, the Tasman Monument and Salamanca Square,
indulge in a high tea, or get a chocolate fix on the Cadbury’s
Chocolate Factory tour. Tonight, choose from three unique dining
experiences in the Wrest Point Casino Hotel. Overnight:

Day 4: Freedom of Choice Touring
After a Port Arthur tour, you can choose your gourmet
indulgence: taste berries at the Sorrell Fruit Farm or shuck
oysters at the Barilla Bay Oyster Farm. Or, upgrade to an
Adventure Option: Take a cruise to see stunning Fluted Cape,
remote coastlines, deep sea caves and colonies of Australian fur

Day 5: Russell Falls, Lake St Clair, Strahan
5 Day passengers depart after
breakfast.

Walk through rainforest to the Russell Falls waterfall. Visit
“Something Wild” for an interactive experience with Tasmania’s
wildlife – you might even spot a platypus in the wild. View the
beautiful glacier-carved Lake St Clair, part of the World
Heritage Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park. Experience
Strahan on Tasmania’s wild West Coast. This evening, taste the
sensational buffet dinner and perhaps see “The Ship That Never

Day 6: Gordon River Cruise, Cradle Mountain
Experience gliding over the deep dark waters of the Gordon
River past untouched wilderness. Take a rainforest walk at
Heritage Landing to see ancient Huon pines. Explore the infamous
penal settlement ruins at Sarah Island Historic Site in the
remote regions of Macquarie Harbor for a chilling insight into
the harsh conditions of convict life. Overnight: Cradle

Day 7: Cradle Mountain Touring
Travel to Dove Lake and enjoy a walk around it at your
leisure. You have the whole day to be as relaxed or active as
you like. You may opt to go wine and cheese tasting, see native
animals on a Night Spotlight Tour (limited availability), learn
about the local wildlife on a guided Alpine Flora & Fauna Walk,
indulge in a treatment at the Waldheim Alpine Spa, or try your
hand at fly fishing (seasonal, minimum numbers apply). Tonight,
dine in the fine surrounds of the Lodge, sampling delicious

Day 8: Sheffield, Winery Lunch, Cataract Gorge
Explore the town of Sheffield, known for its murals. Visit
historic Westbury with its English country character. Enjoy a
delicious lunch at Stillwater in Launceston, a finalist in
Australian Restaurant of the year 2007. Walk off your lunch at
Cataract Gorge, on the South Esk River just outside of
Launceston. From there head to the airport where your tour
